Microbes were crucial in forming rare spheres of iron-oxide on Earth, a new research shows. As these spheres are similar to those found in Mars, dubbed “blueberries”, the discovery raises the possibility that Martian “blueberries” may reveal that life was present on the red planet. The scientists hope that “Curiosity” would find more of them near the landing site!
